About the Role:
Join the Primrose School of Mt. Juliet as our School Chef, where you'll play a vital role in nourishing young minds with healthy and delicious meals. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary guidelines.
- Plan weekly menus that cater to various dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure freshness.
- Collaborate with teachers to incorporate food education into the curriculum.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and preparation.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a culinary or food service role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary guidelines for children.
- Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Passion for cooking and enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules.
